About the work
Die lieben Nachbarn (French original title: Les voisins du dessus) is a comedy by Laurence Jyl for two women and two men. A young married couple is subjected to constant visits and unsolicited advice from their neighbours, whose affectionate interference increasingly smothers the couple's private life. The play premiered at the Théâtre de la Renaissance in Paris in 1985.
