About the work
In Alles Bauerntheater, a three-act farce, a hard-drinking, work-shy farmer tries to use a planned theatre performance as a way to get closer to the new waitress at the village inn. His wife discovers the scheme and strikes back with help from her unmarried sister, while relatives and other villagers add further complications.
