De editie van 2016 van het Draaksteken bracht de legende van Sint Joris en de draak als grootschalige openluchtproductie in Beesel. De regie was in handen van Jolanda Jonkers en Frank Rous; zes voorstellingen werden gespeeld voor in totaal circa 15.000 bezoekers.
