About the group

Stichting Draaksteken Beesel organiseert het Draaksteken, een grootschalig openluchtspel rond de legende van Sint Joris en de draak dat eens per zeven jaar in Beesel wordt opgevoerd. De productie wordt gedragen door honderden amateurspelers en vrijwilligers uit het dorp en is toegankelijk voor publiek; voor de sprekende rollen worden audities gehouden. De stichting organiseert het Draaksteken sinds 1981, binnen een Beeselse traditie die teruggaat tot 1736.
