Die Freilichtbühne Billerbeck brachte im Sommer 2023 das Kinderstück Die Biene Maja und ihre Abenteuer auf die Bühne. Die Fassung von Cornelius Demming basiert auf dem Kinderbuch von Waldemar Bonsels und folgt Maja bei ihren Erlebnissen außerhalb des Bienenstocks.
