Bromley Little Theatre stages Jack Thorne's When Winston Went to War with the Wireless in February 2027, directed by Colleen Batson. Set during the 1926 General Strike, the play follows the struggle over the young BBC's independence as John Reith and Winston Churchill confront political pressure, broadcasting and their own private conflicts.
Open auditions take place at Bromley Little Theatre at 14:30 on Sunday 11 October 2026. The production is planned for a fourteen-actor company with extensive doubling; casting is open to everyone and the director notes that roles are open to gender- and colour-blind casting.
