About the work
In Waakhondje, sisters Evi and Mara try to keep their family going after their father has died and their mother has withdrawn to bed. Their closed world begins to shift when their neighbour Wolf arrives with questions for a school presentation about death. Peer Wittenbols wrote the youth-theatre play for De Toneelmakerij, whose original production premiered in 2010.
