About the work
Robert Thomas’s psychological thriller, originally written in French under the title Piège pour un homme seul. In an isolated Alpine chalet, a man who has reported his wife’s disappearance is confronted by an unknown woman who claims to be his wife, while everyone around him seems to confirm her account. The play premiered in Paris in 1960.
