About the work

A pantomime by Alan P Frayn in which Gerda sets out to rescue her friend Kai after he is carried away to the Snow Queen’s ice palace. Her journey from Denmark toward the frozen north passes through the seasons and combines the fairy-tale story with traditional pantomime comedy and audience participation.
