About the work
The Providence of Neighboring Bodies is a dark comedy about neighbours Ronnie and Dora in North Providence, Rhode Island. When Dora decides that the two of them should become friends, their tentative connection is disrupted by the arrival of Jane. Jean Ann Douglass's play uses the encounter to explore friendship, isolation and the prejudices that can persist beneath everyday politeness.
