About the work
The Prince of Egypt is a stage musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Philip LaZebnik. Adapted from the biblical Book of Exodus and the DreamWorks animated film, it follows Moses from his upbringing in the Egyptian royal household through his conflict with Ramses and his role in leading the Hebrews out of bondage.
