About the work

The Last Nickel is a short dramatic comedy by Jane Shepard. Set during a long night in Jamie’s bedroom, the play follows two sisters whose banter and memories gradually confront the loss and self-destructive behaviour beneath their relationship. The piece is written for two women and two puppeteers.
