About the work
The 39 Steps is a comic stage adaptation in which British adventurer Richard Hannay is drawn into an espionage plot after meeting a mysterious woman. The play combines the story of John Buchan's novel and Alfred Hitchcock's film with rapid role changes and physical comedy, using a small ensemble to portray a large cast of characters.
