About the work
Plastic is a satirical comedy by Marius von Mayenburg about a wealthy family that hires the domestic worker Jessica and draws her into the art world surrounding Serge Haulupa, Ulrike’s employer. The play examines tensions between ideals and everyday behavior, work, class, and art. It premiered at the Schaubühne in Berlin in 2015.
