About the work

A children’s cabaret musical by Thea Doelwijt, adapted from her book of the same title. The story uses Surinamese proverbs, culture and history and was adapted for the 2007 Children’s Book Festival for and by children, with music by Eldridge D. Zaandam. The musical has been staged in both Suriname and the Netherlands.
