In Matthias Hahns Gruselkomödie Sleepy Hollow – Das Geheimnis des verschlafenen Tals will ein Theaterensemble die Geschichte von Sleepy Hollow aufführen, als ein Fremder behauptet, aus einer anderen Dimension zu kommen und dort den kopflosen Reiter und seine untoten Diener geweckt zu haben. Die Kreaturen folgen ihm in die Welt des aufführenden Theaters und belagern Ensemble und Publikum. Das Stück ist von Washington Irvings Erzählung inspiriert, für 8 bis 18 Spielende angelegt und hat eine Spieldauer von etwa 120 Minuten.
