About the work
Tom Stoppard’s tragicomic play follows Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, two minor characters from Shakespeare’s Hamlet, as they move through events they only partly understand. Their comic exchanges and encounters with a troupe of players gradually give way to questions about fate, identity, free will and the nature of reality.
