About the work
Ronja, daughter of the robber chief Mattis, befriends Birk, the son of his rival Borka. The two children challenge their families' feud, face dangers together in the forest, and seek their own path between family ties, freedom and friendship. Christian Schönfelder's stage adaptation is based on Astrid Lindgren's novel and is also licensed for schools and amateur ensembles.
