About the work
Roet is a tragicomedy by Peter Aten about a family gathering for the 85th birthday of their mother Elisabeth, who has Alzheimer's disease. During the weekend old irritations and tensions escalate, while themes including illness, euthanasia, obsessive cleanliness and childlessness are treated with dark humour.
