About the work
Jean and Élisabeth are expecting their daughter Bénédicte and son-in-law Matthieu back from a trip to Egypt. Matthieu arrives alone and behaves increasingly strangely, unsettling the couple’s sense of what is real. Ramsès II is a dark comedy by Sébastien Thiéry about perception, family secrets and the shifting boundary between reality and madness.
