About the work
A psychological crime play in which psychiatrist Roy Flemming and his mistress plan the murder of his wife, only for Lieutenant Columbo to challenge their carefully constructed alibi. Written by William Link and Richard L. Levinson, the stage play introduced the story that later became the television film Prescription: Murder and helped establish Columbo as a character.
