About the work

Pas op, besmettelijk! is the Dutch version of Jack Sharkey's farce One Toe in the Grave. Jason Kingsley has told his employer that he is married and that his fictitious wife Lavinia suffers from an incurable contagious illness, until his boss unexpectedly arranges a treatment for her. Jason must urgently find someone to pose as Lavinia, and competing candidates and the company doctor rapidly compound the misunderstandings.
