About the work

In late-1930s Chicago, nightclub performer Joey Evans schemes his way toward owning a club. He juggles relationships with young Linda and wealthy, married Vera, whose money could finance his ambitions. The Rodgers, Hart and O'Hara musical follows an antihero driven by charm, ambition and opportunism.
