Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt’s play follows ten-year-old Oscar during his stay in hospital. Encouraged by Mamie Rose, a volunteer who visits the paediatric ward, he writes letters to God and imagines each day he has left as a decade of life. The stage work was created in 2003 from Schmitt’s epistolary novel, published in 2002.
