About the work

A comedy about the lonely widow Mien and her adult children Rob and Rita, whose attention is focused mainly on the valuable antique cabinet in her home. As their greed fuels family conflict, son-in-law Pieter-Paul and unexpected visitors try to give Mien a renewed sense of purpose. The play combines family quarrels and cynical humour with a more serious theme of care and neglect.
