About the work

Oklahoma! is the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical about rivalry between farmers and cowboys in Oklahoma Territory and the romance between cowboy Curly and farm girl Laurey. Premiered in 1943, it was the first collaboration between Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II.
