About the work

Los cuernos de don Friolera is a play by Ramón del Valle-Inclán, part of the trilogy Martes de Carnaval. Set in the military world of 1920s Spain, it begins with an anonymous letter accusing the wife of Lieutenant Astete, known as Don Friolera, of infidelity, and leads the protagonist, pressed by the honour code of his fellow officers, towards revenge.
