Play text: James McLure
In James McLure's one-act comedy Lone Star, Roy returns to small-town Texas after military service in Vietnam and spends a night behind a bar with his younger brother Ray. As the evening unfolds, revelations about Roy's marriage and prized car unset his attempts to reclaim his old place in the community. Written for three male performers, the play combines comedy with themes of brotherhood, masculinity and the aftereffects of war.
