About the work
Liefde voor een varken is a family play centred on butcher De Gier and life around his village-square shop. Stray cats try to steal meat, watchdog Bullepees guards the store, and the arrival of the stylish pig Juffrouw Snuitje changes the relationships on the square. The play has been staged by several Dutch amateur companies as a youth or family production.
