About the work
In this theatrical oratorio, the dead in the cemetery of the fictional village of Moret-sur-Raguse are given a voice. Their brief, intersecting stories form a portrait of a village community and connect personal memories with larger historical events. Patrick Kermann wrote the piece as a polyphonic text in which black humour and the proximity of death sit side by side.
