About the work

In this theatrical oratorio, the dead of the cemetery in the fictional village of Moret-sur-Raguse speak out. Their brief, intersecting stories form a portrait of a village community and connect personal memories with historical events of greater scope. Patrick Kermann wrote this work as a polyphonic text in which dark humour and the proximity of death coexist.
