About the work
In L'Hiver sous la table, Florence Michalon, a poorly paid translator in Paris, sublets the space beneath her worktable to Dragomir, an impoverished immigrant and cobbler from Eastern Europe. Their unusual domestic arrangement fuels Roland Topor’s comedy about intimacy, migration, and social conventions.
