About the work
Erna Wutschke runs a run-down corner pub, but for years has led her wealthy cousin to believe that she owns a successful upscale restaurant. When he announces his visit, she tries within a single day to transform the pub and its regulars into an elegant dining establishment. The comedy develops from this into a case of mistaken identities revolving around appearance and reality.
