Kassandra

Kassandra is a monologue by Stefan Schroeder. At its centre is Kassandra, the Trojan king’s daughter, whom Apollo grants the gift of prophecy and who, after rejecting the god, is cursed so that no one believes her warnings. The play combines the myth of the fall of Troy and Kassandra’s later fate at Agamemnon’s side with the question of how people respond to warnings of a threatening future.
