In “Homo Empathicus”, Rebekka Kricheldorf imagines a society that has elevated equality, harmony, and empathy to its highest principles and avoids conflicts as completely as possible. When Adam and Eve intrude upon this order with arguments, alcohol, and other undesirable behaviors, the community’s tolerance and self-image reach their limits.
