About the work

A fifteen-year-old boy is abused by his stepfather and becomes increasingly isolated. While his mother retreats from her problems and authorities mainly see him as a troubled teenager, he tries to survive through resistance and violence. After he is seriously injured, the story culminates in a court case about blame, responsibility and the possibility of change.
