About the work
Genesis is Sophie Kassies's stage adaptation of the first book of the Bible. It follows the major stories of Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham, Jacob and Joseph, setting violence, deceit and revenge alongside love, loyalty, mercy and community. The play was written for an ensemble in which performers take multiple roles.
