About the work
In Lars Wernecke’s one-person play “freitot,” Erika Kellermann waits for Mrs Duwe, who is supposed to support her in her planned assisted suicide. As she waits, Erika looks back on her life and the fall that led to severe paralysis. The monologue addresses self-determination, dignity, and the burdens placed on relatives in connection with assisted dying.
