About the work
Willy Russell's two-character play follows Rita, a young hairdresser who enrols in an Open University literature course, and Frank, the disillusioned tutor who teaches her. Their meetings become an education for both of them as Rita seeks a different life and Frank is forced to reassess his own choices.
