Down in the Valley is a one-act folk opera by Kurt Weill with a libretto by Arnold Sundgaard. Drawing on American folk songs, it centres on the imprisoned Brack Weaver and his love for Jennie. The stage version premiered at Indiana University in Bloomington on 15 July 1948.
