About the work

Dizzepie-dizzepu is a Groningen-dialect comedy by Geert Teis Pzn. (Gerhard Willem Spitzen). Wealthy farmer Mans Wils is at odds with the local council while his daughter Trudoa wants to marry municipal official Jurrie Kok. A scheme puts Wils in trouble and gives Kok the opportunity to help him out. The play premiered in 1917 and became a frequently performed work in Groningen dialect.
