Die zertanzten Schuhe is Marlene Skala’s contemporary youth-theatre adaptation of the Brothers Grimm tale. The princesses pursue idealised dream partners while a sharp-tongued mirror comments on what it sees; only one of the girls begins to value a real person rather than an imagined ideal.
