About the work
Die lieben Nachbarn (original French title: Les voisins du dessus) is a comedy by Laurence Jyl for two women and two men. A young married couple is subjected to the incessant visits and unsolicited advice of their neighbours, whose affectionate interference increasingly suffocates the couple’s private life. The play premiered at the Théâtre de la Renaissance in Paris in 1985.
