About the work

In this Bavarian folk comedy, Brandner Kaspar tries to postpone his death by outwitting the Boandlkramer, the personification of death, with drink and a card game. Kurt Wilhelm adapted Franz von Kobell's Brandner Kaspar story into an independent stage play.
