In this Bavarian folk comedy, Brandner Kaspar attempts to postpone his death by outwitting the Boandlkramer, the embodiment of death, with alcohol and a card game. Kurt Wilhelm adapted Franz von Kobell’s story about Brandner Kaspar into an independent stage play.
