About the work
De Wet van Luisman is an absurdist play by Alex van Warmerdam. In a cramped classroom, Luisman, both father and teacher, tries to maintain authority over his family. His brazen children, apathetic wife and ever-present parents-in-law undermine his position, sending domestic order and the balance of power increasingly off course. De Mexicaanse Hond first staged the play in 1984.
