About the work

A Flemish popular comedy about Bolle and Rietje, two free spirits who, after an accident, pass through a dreamlike journey involving hell and heaven. The play combines farce, miracle-play elements and satire of bourgeois conventions. In the Netherlands it has been staged under titles including Twee flierefluiters in het paradijs and Twee vrijbuiters in het paradijs.
