About the work
De kopvoeter is a tragicomedy by Esther Gerritsen about Lena, a successful artist who is paralysed from the neck down and paints with her mouth. Her sister Roza and nurse Kristof maintain her carefully protected life until a new postman disrupts the relationships around her. The play was first performed by Het Syndicaat in Amsterdam in 2007.
