About the work

De droom van Mozart is a musical-theatre work by Bruun Kuijt, freely based on Mozart's opera Die Zauberflöte. It reshapes the story and music in a contemporary form for young audiences. The work premiered with Jeugdtheater Hofplein in 1996 and was later adapted and staged outside the Netherlands.
