About the work
De broers Geboers is a social family drama by Arne Sierens. Marnix returns home after a prison sentence and finds a family under pressure from broken relationships, poverty and internal tensions. Around him, his brother Ivan, his father Noël, his mother's new partner and, above all, their grandmother each try to keep going in their own way.
The play combines raw, grotesque situations with humour and compassion, focusing on people at the margins of society trying to regain some control over their lives.
