The Land of Smiles is a romantic operetta in three acts by Franz Lehár, with a libretto by Ludwig Herzer and Fritz Löhner-Beda based on an earlier text by Victor Léon. The revised version premiered on 10 October 1929 at Berlin's Metropol-Theater and is set between Vienna and China.
