Christmas Oratorio (BWV 248) is a six-part sacred work by Johann Sebastian Bach, composed for the Christmas season of 1734–35 in Leipzig. Its cantatas follow the Nativity and related Gospel episodes, combining biblical text, Lutheran chorales and reflective poetry for soloists, choir and orchestra.
